We are up to the reassembly point and it sure is nice to have new or like new everything when you are putting a bike back together. I bought a new wiring harness but the original one was super nice so I fixed a couple of plugs so we could keep the bike as original as possible. A solid state rectifier was attached to the original so it would retain the stock look but have modern charging. Tires were ordered from Honda and are new OEM as is the seat. Pretty amazing that you can still get a new OEM seat for this bike so we didn’t have to use a aftermarket cover of questionable quality. The headlight bucket is original as is the lens and even the bulb.
The rear fender is new OEM Honda and the taillight is a CHP reproduction. Handlebars are new CHP parts and have much nicer chrome that even the original parts had. All of the cables are new reproduction from CHP and are correct color and have part #’s on them. CHP has some nice reproduction stuff. The brake hubs were refinished with the correct brushed aluminum finish and the wheels are perfectly straight with no bent lips. The forks are original and cleaned up perfectly. The boots are Honda OEM that I ordered from Asia. For someone wanting a bike for their collection, this will be a great candidate!
