Well, everything is painted and ready for reassembly. What we finally decide to do on the tank was bead blast it to give it a rough finish for the paint to stick to. Dirt bike plastic is tricky and hard to paint but we used PPG epoxy primer, then Polar White base and then clear. The inside of the tank had already been coated with something (looks like Caswell sealer) so we didn’t use any other sealer but if you are doing a plastic tank, I highly recommend you seal the inside.

The swing arm, frame and kickstand were all epoxy primed, base coated and cleared at the same time as the tank for color match. Finally, decals were applied to the tank and new plastics. The shocks are back and the swing arm is test fitted to measure for spacers for the new wheel. Still waiting on the motor but I’ll update when that arrives.
