Well, lots of progress! The engine is back together after honing the cylinders, lapping the valves and checking everything in the bottom end. The case were soda blasted, cleaned and painted. We are installing a Dyna ignition and new coils, new regulator/rectifier and the whole electrical system was checked for proper operation.
There are always a 1000 details to fix on an old bike and this is no exception! All of the bits and pieces, nut and bolts are either replaced or refinished. We had to find a good set of gauges since the originals were simply too far gone but the bike will have a nice mix of original parts with some patina and new- like the brakes and wheels. We have a set of NOS DID rims on the way so that will be for a future post. Here are a few pictures of of recent progress…
