We’ve made some good progress- after some final sanding and finishing, the epoxy primer was applied and then we went back and touched up some areas with spot filler and block sanded everything. One of the biggest decisions to make on a 50 year old bike that has a hand made aluminum tank and fiberglass fairings is just how “perfect” to get it. The bike was not production quality even when it was new, so do you try to reproduce the original look or bring it up to modern standards? Tough call, but we decided to take a middle of the road approach. It is definitely better than original, but we did not sand and fill all the hand welds or make the tank look production. It is a race bike!

Here’s a good review of the Honda CT181 build that I painted for Wayne at The Speed Shop. Honda Pro Kevin always does a fantastic job on his reviews!
