The AMA asked for suggestions from readers about how to increase motorcycle safety and awareness. Here are some of the responses. The best one was simply to email all your family and friends with this pdf file and ask them to send it on to their family and friends too. This type of viral marketing works for all sorts of business and commercial stuff, so it should work for this also. You might think about doing something like this on your myspace page too.

Recently, I sent an email to my family and friends encouraging them to read a document put out by the MSF called “Ten Things all Car & Truck Drivers Should Know About Motorcycles.” I would like to see others take a moment and e-mail or write to friends and family and remind them to watch for motorcycles. By contacting family and friends, I feel this approach adds a personal touch to the message.

Here in Atlanta, I have also seen the big traffic advisory signs on the interstates post messages that say “Share the road. Watch for motorcyclists”. The more of this kind of stuff that gets seen, the better off we are going to be.
