Well, the 16 year old 2 wheeled speed record was shattered at Bonneville today when Team Ack Attack set the bar at 342.797mph- 20mph faster than the old record. That is moving on no matter how many wheels you have- heck, that’s fast in an airplane. Since there are several other teams that have brought their streamliners to Bonneville, we might see another record later in the week. Motorcycle legend Chris Carr is one of the other competitors that will attempt to break the record, and Speed TV is going to broadcast that from Bonneville but they don’t have a date or time on their site yet.

From Cycle News-

And Akatiff isn’t finished yet. They are reportedly only using 75% of “The Ack’s” horsepower, and have planned a few more runs to see if they can’t get all 800 horses on the ground. If things go as planned for the team, we could see them break their own record and reach speeds of over 350 mph before the week is over.
