Lakewood, Colorado – 7/24/2006 Makita Suzuki’s Ricky Carmichael added another win to an almost unbelievable collection of career AMA National victories when he went 1-1 for his 141st career AMA National win and sixth consecutive AMA Motocross win of the year at round seven of the Toyota AMA National Motocross Championship at Thunder Valley in Lakewood, Colorado. Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto also went 1-1 in the Motocross Lites class to earn his fifth career and fourth consecutive AMA National win.“I love this place,” Carmichael said. “It’s fun. It’s a new venue for us. The promoter, you gotta give it up for him, man. As a rider, I think the only thing we look for is to see that they’re putting just a little bit back into it, not much, but just a little bit back. Trust me, we greatly appreciate it, so wherever he is at, I appreciate it. Thank you very much. The fans, you guys were great. Hopefully I’ll come back here and see you guys.”
