Italy’s Ducati Motor Holding SpA, a storied motorcycle company, will temporarily dismiss 100 workers.
The action, which was planned as a response to a seasonal sales dip, begins Sept. 1 and is expected to last four months, Ducati said in a statement Friday.
“Lowering production … is necessary to avoid creating high stock levels which would have inevitable and significant consequences on the company, and which would compromise the success of new models due out next spring,” the 80-year-old company said.
