Valentino Rossi kept his world championship hopes alive with a stunning, come-from-behind victory in a thrilling German Grand Prix at the Sachsenring today.Although outnumbered by Honda rivals, Rossi again displayed his sublime skills and near perfect race craft to win his fourth race of the season.In a breathtaking final lap Rossi refused to concede to the audacious challenge by Marco Melandri and Nicky Hayden, to score a narrow victory after 30 laps.
At the flag, just three tenths of a second (0.3s) covered the top four riders with Rossi joined on the podium by Melandri (second) and Hayden (third).
